Recent Bethel Police Arrests: Disorderly Conduct, Identity Theft

BETHEL, CT — Cases of identity theft and disorderly conduct were at the top of the Bethel Police Department's arrest log last week.
Police investigating a hang-up call to 911 found a trespasser, according to their report.
The call from a Maple Avenue residence at a little before 3:00 a.m. on March 9 triggered a response from the Bethel Police Department. Officers investigated, arresting a 28-year-old Bethel man and charging him with first-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. The suspect was scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on March 11.

A 28-year-old Hartford woman wanted on a Bethel warrant for fourth-degree larceny, third-degree criminal attempt at larceny, third-degree identity theft and criminal impersonation was picked up by Connecticut State Police on March 8 and delivered to Bethel Police HQ shortly before noon. According to the police report, she was routinely processed, scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on March 19, and released on a $2,500 surety bond.
Also just before noon on March 8, the New Milford Police Department contacted the Bethel PD in an attempt to locate a vehicle that fled from a traffic stop, according to a Bethel police report. In their investigation that followed, Bethel officers located a 37-year-old Old Hawleyville Road woman wanted in New Milford, and also discovered there was a warrant for her arrest out of Farmington. After being charged and issued a $103 bond, the woman was scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court on March 19.
