St. Mary School, Bethel, became the first school in the history of the Knights of Columbus Regional Geography bee to take the top two places! 7th grader, William Tucker, won the competition for the second consecutive year. His classmate, Nicholas Paris, came in second. The Geography Bee is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus McGivney Council #29, Danbury.

Twenty-six students from 11 schools faced 121 questions on world, North American, and regional geography, but after ten rounds, only William and Nicholas were left standing. After five more rounds, the competition ended with a tie-breaker, won by William. Congratulations also to Maria Decastro for representing St. Mary School at the Geography Bee.
