Calls Intensify For Him To Resign

On Monday, July 28th, Democratic State Rep. Raghib Allie-Brennan, who represents District 2 including parts of Bethel and Danbury, was arrested for a second time for 6th Degree Larceny. He is due in court on August 5th to answer these new charges. He is also due in court on July 30th for a follow-up hearing on his arrest and charges in June on Larceny 6th Degree related to a reported shoplifting incident at Bethel's Target store. After his June arrest, Mr. Allie-Brennan applied to participate in the state's Accelerated Rehabilitation program that if accepted and successfully completed would result in the charges being dismissed and his record being sealed. Calls for him to resign have been increasing after the second arrest.
