Trucks, Buses, Now Banned from Making Right Turn on Bethel Road

BETHEL, CT — Trucks and busesare now banned from making a right turn onto Depot Place when traveling eastbound on Greenwood Avenue, the News Times is reporting.

The town has only recently received approval from the State Department of Transportation to make the change.

In the past, the intersection has been snarled for hours due to trucks getting tangled on a utility pole, stuck n the snow, or taking down the the lamppost and crosswalk signal.

The sign was provided to the town at no cost by the state, and installed by town crews.
