Veteran Bethel Educator Named Principal At Berry School
The Bethel Board of Education has named Beth Grieco the principal at Frank A. Berry School, effective July 1.
BETHEL, CT — The Bethel Board of Education has named Beth Grieco the principal at Frank A. Berry School, effective July 1.
Grieco began her teaching career as an elementary school teacher in 2008 for New York Public Schools. In 2014, the Bethel Public Schools hired her as a literacy specialist and then literacy coach until 2019. After receiving her administrative certification in 2019, Grieco worked for the Hartford Public Schools as an assistant principal in a K-5 elementary school.
Bethel Public Schools hired Grieco back in 2020, as an elementary assistant principal at R.M.T. Johnson School.

Grieco received a bachelor’s degree in Arts in Child Development and Speech and a master’s degree in Literacy and Cognition from St. Joseph’s College. She earned an additional master’s degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. Finally, she received her doctorate from Western Connecticut State University in Education and Instructional Leadership.
"With Dr. Grieco's educational background and professional expertise, we are confident that she will continue to foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment where our students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally," Superintendent Christine Carver said in an email to parents Wednesday evening.

"In the coming weeks, Dr. Grieco will be actively involved in getting to know our Berry School students, staff, and families. Her focus will be on building relationships, understanding the school culture, and working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the continued success of our students. Dr. Grieco and Mrs. Legnard will be communicating a schedule for an opportunity for a parent and staff meet and greet," Carver said.
