Winter Team State Championship History: Bethel High School
Wildcat squads have accounted for four state team championships in winters past.
BETHEL, CT — As practices for high school winter sports officially get underway in Connecticut Monday (girls basketball, ice hockey and wrestling) and Thursday (boys basketball, indoor track, boys swimming and girls gymnastics), hopes run high for all teams to achieve the ultimate goal: winning a league championship, and possibly a state title.
To help squads get into the championship mentality, here is a listing of the four CIAC winter team titles won by Bethel High School in past years (* - indicates a co-op team).
- boys indoor track (3) - Class M: 1973, 1947; Class S: 1967
- wrestling (1) - Class M: 2001
