Bethany Lions 62nd Annual Memorial Day Parade - Monday 5/29

It's parade day!

Bethany Lions Memorial Day Parade - Monday, May 29th. The parade kicks off at 10 am from the Bethany Airport South down Rt. 63 and up Peck Rd., to the Bethany Town Hall for a Remembrance Ceremony. Below are instructions for those participating in the parade.

Instructions for those marching:

Thank you for signing up to be part of the Bethany Memorial Day Parade which is being held on Monday, May 29, 2023! Here are the particulars for the day:

1. The parade is rain or shine.

2. The lineup for the parade begins at 9 am at the Bethany Airport. Enter from Amity Rd (Rt. 63) and you'll be directed on re: the traffic flow to leave. There will be Lions in yellow T-shirts that will direct your group at an assembly location. PLEASE drive slow (please share this with your group) when entering the airport property - we have many people walking about. Also, there is new grass growth on the driveway side, so please watch and follow the directions of the Lions (in the yellow shirts) as they direct traffic. The parade starts at the airport property and ends at Bethany Town Hall. Parade kick off is 10 am.

3. Immediately following the parade will be our Memorial Day Ceremony and laying of the wreath at the Bethany Town Hall. Following this ceremony, we will convoy over to Veteran's Memorial Park where we will have the laying of the wreath at this site - all are welcome to attend. In case of rain, the ceremony at Bethany Town Hall will be inside.
