13-Year-Old Branford Girl Dies, 'Heartbroken' Police Department Confirms
Branford police, who said there is "no criminal aspect to this incident," located the girl at Killam's Point Road at around 7:30 a.m.
BRANFORD, CT — The Branford community is mourning the death of a 13-year-old girl, police said in a somber update Wednesday.
Branford and East Haven police responded to a call on Killam’s Point Road around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Police said they are "deeply saddened to confirm the untimely death" of a 13-year-old girl in the community. Police also said their "investigation has determined there is no criminal aspect to this incident."

"We are heartbroken by the loss of such a young life, and our thoughts are with the family, friends, and all who are affected," police wrote. "Out of respect for the family’s privacy, no further identifying details will be released."
Branford police said that the department "remains committed to supporting the family, the school community, and all who may be impacted."

Support services are available through the Branford Public Schools and the Branford Counseling Center at 203-481-4248, police shared.
