We just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has reached out to us to help us regarding the box of gift cards and other items that was taken. If people are interested in donating they can do it through our website at http://www.branford-ct.gov/Don...

We are hoping to get back at least $1,000 worth of gift cards and A gentleman reached out to us saying he will match dollar per dollar up to $1,000. So if you would like to donate a gift card please drop it off at Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford 749 East Main St Branford CT 06405. These gift cards will be used for raffle baskets at Woofstock on the Branford Green to help save homeless animals. The gentlemans money will go directly into our "Cause" account which is our medical fund that helps animals with surgeries , specialty foods, etc....

Previously, the shelter had posted on their Facebook page the following:

Over $1,000 worth of gift cards and items that were to be given out at this weekend’s Woofstock event have been stolen and the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter is asking for the public’s help in getting it back. The Shelter has posted this on their Facebook page:“We need everyone's help!!!!! Please SHARE far and wide. One of our volunteers ( who does not drive ) she took the bus to New Haven and walked all around Branford and asked businesses to donate gift cards and items for our Raffle Baskets for Woofstock. Yesterday she left the box outside of her door for one of our staff to pick it up and it was taken. There was over $1000.00 of stuff in there that was to go towards helping animals lives and it was gone within minutes.

PS the photo of the dog and cat are ones that people who donated in the past helped us to save. One was from a backyard breeder and another was from a group of sick kittens...both were really sick and saved because of your donations and thoughtfulness!
