Branford Costco Plans Likely to be Approved
Final plans for the future of Branford Costco will be determined at the next Planning & Zoning Commission's next meeting.

Three of five voting members of the Planning & Zoning Commission are leaning toward approval of the Costco’s Exit 56 master plan, according to the Shore Publishing. A majority vote will be held the commission’s next meeting on June 18.
The PZC met June 4 and didn’t reach a decision regarding Costco’s request for development, as well as their special exception request to combine five individual, contiguous land parcels to create a light industrial/small retail zone accessible from Interstate 95 at Exit 56, the Shore Publishing reported.
Building the 160,000-square-foot facility on the majority of a 44-acre parcel will be the beginnings of Phase One, the Shore Publishing reported. Phase Two would add seven to-be-determined retail/commercial buildings sometime in the future.
