BRANFORD, CT — The 2024 Branford Fire Department awards ceremony is the annual event where Branford first responders are honored for their service to the community. As noted, the fire department provides the "highest level of service to our community by valuing our members, promoting positive leadership, and dedicating ourselves to excellence."

Held Monday at The Woodwinds, Branford Fire Department Chief Thomas F. Mahoney Jr., elected officials, the Board of Fire Commissioners, and dignitaries gather to present awards to professional and volunteers firefighters. Retired Branford Deputy Chief and Director of CT Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security William J. Hackett is the keynote speaker.
