According to police, the vehicle driven by the teen boy "encroached into the right center lane from the right lane, where it collided" with the other car and "commenced into a spin and subsequently rolled over," near exit 7 on I-91 southbound.
State police said Osler was "ejected and was pronounced deceased at Yale New Haven Hospital after sustaining fatal injuries." That section of the highway was closed until around 4 a.m.

A GoFundMe created for the family
A GoFundMe was created by Isabela's aunt Ashley Mulligan to help the family. Within a few hours of the plea being posted, more than $17,000 has been raised.
“We were supposed to get our nails done this weekend and go prom dress shopping. There will be no high school graduation, no college," Mulligan wrote in the fundraiser. "My heart is crushed and my soul is broken. My beautiful daughter, my Bela boo, was taken from us tragically last night in a car accident. I prayed for a miracle, but God took her home. We are all devastated. Nobody is prepared for the high cost of a funeral service for their child. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time."
Isabela would have graduated in June
A Branford High School senior, schools Superintendent Dr. Tranberg shared this with the school community:
"It is with a sense of profound sadness I write to share that Isabela Osler, Branford High School senior, passed away last evening. Isabela's caring and compassionate presence will be greatly missed by all those close to her. Please join me in extending sympathy and condolences to Isabela's family.
Grief counseling services will be available for students, staff and families at Branford High School today from 1:00-3:00 and Friday 10:00-1:00. On call services through the Branford Counseling Center are also available should there be needs in the community over the weekend. The counseling center can be reached at 203-481-4248.
Since my arrival last July, it has been and remains clear that the Branford community quickly comes together to help those when they are in need. Unfortunately, this is among the saddest times when a high level of support and care for one another is needed. Thank you for your ongoing care and support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Tranberg
