Branford Planning 1st Annual “Light the Night” on October 31st
Community organizers, businesspeople and town officials have come together to launch a special night for families with children on the Green

BRANFORD, CT - Businesses and families around Main Street are joining together this October 31st to welcome the community, especially our little ones, on a creative night to bring the spirit of warmth and light and connectedness back into the night by providing a central and safe location for all to participate while encouraging local business support.
The event is called SCC Light The Night and will be held on the Branford Green.
Locally sourced music, food and beverages will be served on the green: Hotdogs from Hornet’s Nest & Tommy Sullivan’s, Chili from La Cucina, and Hot Cocoa from Foe Food’s & Catering.

“Organizers are so excited for this years Light The Night Community Event and hope it is the start of a wonderful tradition in Branford,” said Vanessa Fleming Redd, who is handling communications for the event.
“As of now, we have 97% of Main Street and surrounding streets joining us in the festivities by handing out candy and treats along with dressing up and decorating their storefronts. The main Candy Walk will be from the library (which has big plans for us) all the way to GZen,” Fleming Redd said.
