Branford’s Mike Olt Off to Hot Start Playing for Red Sox AAA Team

Branford native is batting well over .300 and has had several game winning hits in only a few games playing for Pawtucket Red Sox.

BRANFORD, CT - Branford’s Mike Olt is off to a hot start playing for the Boston Red Sox AAA affiliate in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Olt started the season at the AA affiliate, where he played last year, in Portland.

But when the Red Sox called up Tzu-Wei Lin to the major league after shortstop Xander Bogaerts was put on the disabled list due to injury earlier this week. That left an opening on the Pawtucket team - and Olt was called up.
