A vehicle drove into the building and due to concerns about a possible gas line rupture, fire officials said the building was evacuated.

BRANFORD, CT — Shortly before 5 p.m. Monday, a vehicle crashed into the Staples office supply store on North Main Street in Branford, Fire Chief Thomas Mahoney confirmed for Patch.

No one was injured, Mahoney said. But the vehicle struck a gas line, the fire chief said. The building was evacuated as a precaution, Mahoney said.
