BRANFORD, CT — Shortly before noon Wednesday, a roof fire was reported at the Cumberland Farms at 227 East Main Street, officials said.

Branford firefighters arrived quickly and found the fire contained to the roof and were able to "knock down" the rooftop blaze, Fire Chief Thomas Mahoney told Patch.
