Farm Market Possible Smack in Middle of Busy Downtown Madison
A proposal to build a locally produced farm market on the property adjacent to the Moxie Restaurant has been proposed.

MADISON, CT - Well known developer Bill Plunkett is known for many projects in Madison - from his Moxie restaurant to his purchase and conversion of the “Black House” on the Boston Post Road into a luxury condominium for sale.
His latest idea, according to town officials, is to develop property he owns adjacent to Moxie on Wall Street into a 4,000-square-foot farm market, taking advantage of the busy downtown Madison foot traffic nearby.
At the most recent Economic Development Commission meeting, Town Planner Dave Anderson told the EDC members about the idea.

Anderson said it was just in the discussion stage, but that there had “been some public discussion” on the possibility of developing a food market on the property south of the Moxie restaurant on Wall Street.
There wasn’t any further discussion of the project at the EDC meeting at this time.
