Former Fire Chief Considers Running for Branford Office
Lifelong Branford resident Jack Ahern's possibility of running rests on who the competition ends up being.
Former Branford Fire Chief Jack Ahern, a Democrat, is contemplating running for a seat on the selectmen board, but says it depends on who he would be running against, the Branford Seven reported.
Ahern said he doesn’t plan on running for the position of first selectman which is currently held by Jamie Cosgrove, a Republican, and that he would run for a lower seat if someone who didn’t share his values ran for a seat, the Seven reported.
Democrats have not yet announced a candidate to run for the position of first selectman.
