Hard to Find a Hamburger on Hamburger Hill in Branford

BRANFORD, CT - Who would have thought that finding a fast-food burger on the infamous “Hamburger Hill” in Branford would be so difficult.

Well, that’s been the case the past several days - as the most popular option - McDonald’s - has been closed for renovations.

If you’ve been missing your burger - or your morning Egg McMuffin or Big Mac at lunch the past few days - the good news is that the McDonald’s at the top of West Main Street is just undergoing a major renovation and should be open shortly.

Work at the popular breakfast, lunch, dinner and every time in between location has been ongoing for several days - but workers on Sunday told Patch that McDonald’s “will be back open real soon.”

The bigger mystery is right down the street a few hundred yards - at Burger King - which has been closed forever.

Even though signs at the location say “Opening Soon” and “Hiring” - don’t believe it. Those signs have been up for months and months, and the location has remained closed.

The good news is that at least one fast-food burger joint on Hamburger Hill is open.
