Hooked: Branford Parks & Rec, Branford Elks' Kids Fishing Derby May 11

At Chet's Pond, Fishing Derby prizes include the biggest trout, the first boy, and first girl to catch a fish, and the most fish caught.

BRANFORD, CT — Fishing pole? Check. Bait? Check. Chair? Check. Bucket? Check. That last one will hopefully be full of trout at the very wholesome and much-anticipated Branford Parks & Recreation and Branford Elks Club Kids Fishing Derby at Chet's Pond.

Set for May 11, check in is at 8:30 a.m., with hooks in the water from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Open to kids ages 15 and under, those under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Pole, bait, chair, and bucket are required.
