Madison, Like Branford, Hit By Rash of Thefts from Vehicles
There were a lot of reports of thefts from cars in the most recent police log of activity in Madison.

MADISON, CT - Madison police reported a series of thefts from vehicles during the most recent police activity period. Thefts from autos have been a constant problem in recent months not only in Madison but in neighboring shoreline towns, including Branford, Guilford and North Branford.
In the August 8th through August 14th period, Madison police reported the following incidents:
-- theft from auto on Rolling Meadow Road on August 9th;

-- a motor vehicle theft on Ridge Road on August 9th;
-- a theft from auto on Durham Road on August 9th;

-- theft from auto on Aspen Drive on August 9th;
-- theft from auto on Park Avenue on August 14th;
-- theft from auto on Middle Beach Road on August 14th;
-- another theft from auto on Middle Beach Road on August 14th;
-- theft from auto on Park Avenue on August 14th;
-- another theft from auto on Park Avenue on August 14th.
Police officials from all area towns have reported an increase in thefts from autos over previous years - and they all have said one action in particular will protect people from having it happen to them - LOCK YOUR CAR!
