Mammogram And Flu Clinics Being Offered By Health Department
The East Shore District Health Department is hosting the Yale New Haven Health mammogram van in November, and flu clinics through December.
BRANFORD, CT —The East Shore District Health Department announced Thursday that it's hosting the Yale New Haven Health Mammogram Van Friday, Nov. 18th from 8:15 a.m. until 1:15 p.m.
The opportunity came through a partnership with the Community Dining Room and Yale New Haven Health, according to health educator Barbara Naclerio.
Appointments are required and can be made through Central Scheduling by phone at 833 772-0003. At the visits, people should bring their insurance card, physician information, and record of past mammography results if not done through Yale New Haven Health Services. Those without health insurance may qualify for grant funding. Call the health department to determine eligiblity.

Additionally, East Shore District Health will host a public flu clinic at The Community Dining Room, 30 Harrison Ave., Branford, on Nov. 1 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and no appointments are necessary.
The health department will also hold a public blood pressure clinic Friday, Nov. 3 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., also at the Community Dining Room.

Flu vaccination clinics are held every Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the health department office, 688 East Main St., in Branford starting on Nov. 2. No appointments are necessary. The clinics provide flu vaccinations for all over the age of four. Visit www.esdhd.org to access the flu form to fill out ahead of time, and be sure to bring along insurance cards, or a copy of their card.
