More Delays in Branford 2010 Shooting Death Case
Doctor's of the defendant are requesting more time to determine his trial and representation competency.

Doctor’s of Dr. Lishan Wang, 49, who is on trial in the shooting death of Dr. Vajinder Toor outside Toor’s Branford condominium, have asked a judge for a 90-day extension in their evaluation to determine if Wang’s competency can be restored for him to be tried for murder, the New Haven Register reported.
Wang was ruled not competent to stand trial by Superior Court Judge Thomas V. O’Keefe Jr., and the same judge is expected to grant Wang’s doctors’ request, the Register reported.
Further delaying the trial extends the already more than five years the state has been trying to put Wang on trial for the April 26, 2010 shooting, the Register reported. Wang is facing charges for murder, attempted murder, for allegedly shooting at Toor’s wife, but missing, and weapon counts.
