New Branford Healthcare Center Integrates Medical, Mental Health Care

BRANFORD, CT — Being operated by the Fair Haven Community Health Clinic and partnering with BH Care, Shoreline Family Care is a new Branford-based health care center. The facility notes that it "fully integrates medical care, behavioral health care and substance use treatment in a single team, in the same office, eliminating separate appointments and provider referrals," and provides a gamut of treatment for children and adults.

State Rep. Robin Comey, who is a Human Services Committee member, noted in a recent newsletter that at a legislative breakfast last week, she learned about the health center's "priorities."

"I understand the important role that the Community Health Centers provide," she wrote about the center whose "care teams," are "specially trained to identify health issues that may overlap between the mind and body."
