Obituary: Edward J. Kiczyinski, 94, of Branford

Edward J. Kiczyinski of Branford died Friday November 10, 2023 at The Ark at Branford Hills. He was the husband of the late Barbara Sciarra Kiczyinski.

Ed was born in Branford on November 14, 1928, son of the late Anthony and Vadis Domkowski Kiczyinski. He was a Korean War veteran of the U. S. Air Force, serving with the 39th Fighter Squadron. He worked as an operating engineer for Local478 with the Cosgrove Construction Company for many years until his retirement. He was also a federally licensed demolition expert. He was a member of the former St. Elizabeth Church in Branford, now St. John Bosco.

Ed is survived by his sons, Edward J. (Joan) Kacey of Orange, Michael E. Kiczyinski and Mark A. Kiczyinski, both of Branford, and Matthew J. (Tanya) Kiczyinski of Middletown, RI; his granddaughter Nicole Kacey and great-grandchildren Maddy and Laura Kacey.

Funeral service at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Wednesday morning at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
