Obituary: Jeanne K. Szeifert, 84, of Branford

Jeanne K. Szeifert of Branford passed peacefully away at CT Hospice on Sunday May 5, 2024 with her family by her side.

Jeanne lived happily in her home in Pine Orchard for over 40 years. She enjoyed her neighbors and being by the water, appreciating its beauty. She was a wonderful gardener and loved spending many hours at her favorite hobby. Blessed with artistic talent, she would make seasonal wreaths and personal cards for her family and friends. She also loved photography and decorating; she had a special touch. She retired after working many years in the offices of real estate companies.

Jeanne was born in New Haven on July 2, 1939, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Marie) Elizabeth Kearney. She is survived by her beloved children Erica Davidson (Marc) of Westford, MA, Zoltan F. Szeifert Jr. of Branford, and Aaron M. Szeifert of Jacksonville, FL and her loved sisters Karen Dietle of Hockessin, Delaware and Claire Hart (John) of East Haven and nieces and nephews Arthur, Sharon, John and Shari. She was predeceased by her brother Brian Kearney. Her family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to her friends and neighbors for the immense love and support they gave her and to everyone at CT Hospice for their compassionate care. Jeanne was a sweet and thoughtful person and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 18th at 11:00 A.M. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford. Friends may call prior to the service from 10-11 A.M.
