Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No

Previous public office, appointive or elective:
Yes I currently serve as the Majority Leader on Branford's Representative Town Meeting. I'm seeking my fourth term as a 5th District Representative in Branford Point, Indian Neck, Linden Shores & Pawson Park neighborhoods

Why are you seeking this office?
I enjoy talking with constituents & helping them solve problems or answer questions about our town. With your support, I'll be able to continue the good work.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Sea level rise projected to be 20 inches by 2050. Much of the 5th District is low lying and vulnerable to flooding and high water in storms. As a member of the Coastal Vulnerability Working Group since its inception, we've been successful in getting the town to study ways to harden the sewage treatment plant located in the district so it functions regardless of the flood zone it's in. The RTM also created a Harbor Management Commission to oversee Branford's 20 miles of coastline.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I'm running with a solid team of dedicated incumbents - Abigail Adam, Alex Larsson and John Hartwell. We are pro-actively involved in our work on behalf of the people we represent.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Out door knocking this fall I've learned that voters are concerned about speeding and safety, and overdevelopment with numerous rental apartment buildings being built.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I'm a proven leader with a record I proudly run on, acting in Branford's best interest always in a nonpartisan way when possible.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Do not take anything for granted. Trust but verify.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I hope I can count on your support to continue working for Branford and the future of our beautiful town.
