Purchase Price Revealed For Former Stony Creek Brewery Site In Branford: Report

Additionally, the grand opening for the new brewery has been released.

BRANFORD, CT — The former Stony Creek Brewery's facility at 5 Indian Neck Ave. has been sold for $6.1 million, according to the Hartford Business Journal.

The new owners, New England Brewing Co. affiliate — GLOBEXX LLC, plan to operate the New England Brewing Co. at the former Stony Creek Brewery location. NEBCO will continue to operate its Woodbridge location too on Amity Road. (Read more at the Hartford Business Journal).

NEBCO will open its newest facility in Branford on Aug. 29, Hearst Connecticut reported. There will be some limited food offerings served along with food trucks for the new opening. (Read more at Hearst CT).

News surfaced in July that NEBCO would be acquiring the local Stony Creek Brewery facility for its long-planned expansion.

The new facility will also allow NEBCO to grow its production and taproom offerings, according to the company. NEBCO plans to use the Branford site for its primary brewing operations and for its main staff headquarters.

Stony Creek Brewery operated for 10 years before its recent closure, as NEBCO has been renovating the facility.

NEBCO had previously pursued an expansion to a waterfront site in West Haven, but ultimately decided to find a different location.

The company brews a variety of beers and seasonal varieties, with names ranging from Sea Hag to Fuzzy Baby Ducks.
