Robin Comey Qualifies for Citizen Financing in 102nd District

Comey is running for the seat being vacated by fellow Democrat Lonnie Reed; she has qualified for citizens' financing program.

BRANFORD, CT - Robin Comey, Democratic candidate for State Representative from the 102nd District, has met the fundraising goal required to become eligible for the Citizens’ Election Program in small dollar donations. As a result, she is eligible for an $25,000 grant to her campaign from the State Elections Enforcement Commission.

"I am excited to have received donations from a wide variety of Branford residents, many of who told me it was their first time donating to a local campaign. I am particularly proud that there were many others who reached across party lines to show their support,” said Comey. “The relationships I have and the trust I’ve built with Branford voters is reflected in the unification behind my candidacy."

Comey is a resident of Short Beach and currently serves on the RTM representing the 3rd district, owns and operates a small business, and serves as the Executive Director of Branford Early Childhood Collaborative.
