Shoplifters in Branford Have a “Favorite Drink of the Month”
At most recent Board of Police Commissioners meeting Police Chief Kevin Halloran said that liquor store shoplifters have one they are after.

BRANFORD, CT - Police Chief Kevin Halloran, in going over the month of June’s shoplifting incidents with the Board of Police Commissioners, made a point of highlighting one incident in particular.
The chief said there were eight shoplifting incidents overall for the month - three of which happened at Wal Mart, which he said is always a hot spot for shoplifting.
But a new entry caught his and the police’s attention.

“We had two shoplifting incidents - for high end tequila - at both Coastal and Gabel’s (liquor stores),” Halloran said.
“I guess tequila is the drink of the month,” Halloran said.
