Thousands Participate in Branford Father's Day Road Race Sunday
Thousands of runners participated in Sunday morning's annual Branford Father's Day Road Race in downtown Branford.
BRANFORD, CT - As has become the annual tradition, thousands of men, women and children ran in the Branford Father Day's Road Race Sunday.
The popular road race comes at the end of Branford's annual three-day Branford Festival weekend and Sunday brought a beautiful, sunny morning for the run - and there were plenty who took advantage and scores many more to root the runners on.
U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who usually runs in the race but said he couldn’t this year due to an aching back, kicked off the event, calling it: “The greatest road race in the country.”
