Branford Calls Off Opening Night of Jazz Fest Due to Weather

BRANFORD, CT - The popular jazz series on the Branford Green was slated to start tonight (Thursday).

But due to the rain, it has been called off.

On the Branford Jazz series Facebook page the following has been posted.

Update: 6/28/2018 Due to the weather and the extended forecast for this evening the concert has been cancelled. See you all next week.

The popular ban Run ‘N Fly was scheduled to play at this week’s canceled show.

Branford has had a tough few days with the weather forecast and town events.

The annual fireworks show slated for last Saturday night was pushed back to Sunday due to a forecast of rain on Saturday.

The fireworks were held on Sunday at Foote Park - even though the rain fell harder on Sunday night than it did on Saturday.
