Tough Day at Branford Animal Shelter: 1 Dog Passes, Another Sick
One dog passed away on Monday and another dog is not doing well at the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter

BRANFORD, CT - It has been a tough few days at the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter - as one of the dogs it was caring for has died and another is not doing well.
Read the post below that the shelter put on Facebook:
"Today has been a really sad day at the animal shelter...we lost one of our babies and another is really not feeling well. Gotti started to act pretty sick on Saturday, so we rushed him to the emergency hospital and they suspected cancer but could not confirm without biopsies. Those came back inconclusive so today he went in for exploratory surgery and they found fibrous nodules all over his organs and his prostate. His insides were so inflamed and his stomach was filled with fluid. There was nothing they could do for him. Even though you were with us for a short time, we loved you Gotti and may you run free now without pain.

"Then this afternoon Lady started vomiting and diarrhea everywhere. She was shaking and so so sad. We brought her to the vet and she has a fever of 104F. They are keeping her and trying to determine what is wrong. Please keep Lady in your prayers and if you would like to donate towards her medical care you can do so at www.branfordanimalshelter.org click on donate then click on paypal. All of these donations help to care for animals like Lady and Gotti. We try our best to give them top notch medical care and all the love we have."
