Town: Need A Covid-19 Vaccine, Booster Before Holiday Gathering?

Wednesday and Thursday at Canoe Brook Center, walk-in vaccine clinics and free, though limited, at-home, rapid kits are available.

BRANFORD, CT — Looking for a first, second, or booster Covid-19 vaccine before your holiday gathering?

The town is holding Covid-19 vaccination clinics Wednesday and Thursday at the Canoe Brook Center, 46 Church St., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The clinics are walk-in and Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available.
Some notes:

  • Everyone ages 12+ is eligible to get a booster
  • Ages 12-17 can only receive Pfizer five months after second dose
  • Moderna/Pfizer booster must have received second dose at least five months ago
  • Those who had Johnson & Johnson should receive a Pfizer/Moderna dose two months after initial dose.

There are also free, at-home test kits available, albeit are limited to one box per adult living in the household with a maximum of two boxes per household on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.
