UPDATE: Branford Donut Crazy Closed - Few Months After Opening
Donut Crazy opened on Branford's Hamburger Hill a few months ago; Donut Crazy Facebook page confirms Branford location won't reopen.
BRANFORD, CT — If you were hungry and looking for a doughnut on Wednesday hopefully you didn’t go to Donut Crazy on Main Street in Branford. Why? There was a sign up at the recently opened store saying “Closed Today” with a sad face drawing.
A Patch reader tipped us off to the fact that the doughnut shop was closed and we took a ride by on Wednesday to see for ourselves - and yep - it was closed.
Comments on this story from Patch readers on Donut Crazy’s Facebook page tell us the “Closed Today” sign has been up for several days - so something definitely is up.

In fact, a Patch reader showed us a Facebook post from Donut Crazy confirming that the Branford location was closed - permanently.
There was no further explanation.

The shop is located at 972 West Main Street. It only opened a few months ago.
Donut Crazy also has locations in Shelton, Stratford, New Haven and Westport. A full-service shop will open in West Hartford soon.
