Backed by U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal and Representative Lonnie Reed, Greene spoke at a press conference this week to seek passage of the proposed Veterans First Act.

The new legislation would let survivors and dependents of military members, who died between September 11, 2001 and December 31, 2005, receive benefits from the Post 9/11 GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program, CTNewsJunkie.com reports.
