1 Wounded In Bridgeport Shooting: Police
The shooting occurred over the weekend, according to authorities.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A man suffered a gunshot wound to the hip in a Saturday night shooting in Bridgeport, according to police.
The shooting occurred at about 8:45 p.m. in the 1500 block of Reservoir Avenue. Bridgeport police were notified of the shooting through a ShotSpotter activation; ShotSpotter is a gunshot detection system.
Police said officers found the victim upon arrival at the scene, and he was transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center for treatment.

"The responsible vehicle fled, and the Department is investigating," said Shawnna White, the city's Public Information Officer, in a statement about the shooting. "No further information at this time."
