2nd Suspect Arrested In 2022 Murder In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 34-year-old Bridgeport man has been arrested in connection with the October 2022 killing of 29-year-old Dominique Jones in front of the Murphy's Law bar on Fairfield Avenue in downtown Bridgeport.
Kenneth Joyner, who was charged with murder, is the second person arrested in connection with the shooting death of Jones. Stratford resident Joseph Omar DeJesus was arrested in October 2022.
Joyner was transferred to Bridgeport from Massachusetts on Tuesday, where he was released from federal custody on unrelated charges. In connection with the Bridgeport case, he additionally charged with first-degree assault and carrying a pistol without a permit.

Joyner is being held in lieu of bail of $1.5 million, and he is scheduled to be arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court on Thursday.
DeJesus, 40, who is also known by the street name, "Fat Joe", was arrested two weeks after the murder, and was charged at that time with murder, criminal possession of a firearm, illegal transfer of a pistol and first-degree reckless endangerment.

The lead investigator in the case was Detective Thomas Harper. The second arrest was the result of a years-long investigation.
The Bridgeport Police Homicide Unit expects no further arrests in the case.
