Several Hospitalized After Bus Crashes Into Cars, Train Station In Bridgeport: Police
A Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority Bus was involved in the accident Tuesday night, according to police.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A transit bus struck multiple cars and hit a train station in Bridgeport, resulting in several people being hospitalized, according to police.
Police and firefighters responded on a report of the crash in the 500 block of Water St. at 7:41 p.m. Tuesday.
Officers confirmed that the Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority Bus had come to rest after hitting the concrete train station building.

At least four people were hospitalized following the accident, FOX 61 reported.
Police said the extent of injuries isn't currently known, but all were reported to be alert and conscious before they were taken to the hospital.

Train service was not interrupted. The northbound lane of Water Street remains closed between State Street and John Street, police said.
Fire officials are assessing the structural damage to the train station building, according to FOX 61.
The Bridgeport Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is handling the investigation.
