6 People Displaced By Bridgeport Structure Fire: Officials

It took Bridgeport firefighters an hour to bring the fire under control, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport firefighters extinguished a fire in the 300 block of Huntington Road on Friday, which has led to the temporary displacement of six people, according to fire officials.

No injuries were reported in the noon fire, which was already heavily involved when firefighters arrived at the scene.

The fire was in the rear of the structure and extended into the attic, which took firefighters an hour to bring under control.

Members of the Bridgeport Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the cause of the fire.

The American Red Cross is assisting the five adults and one child in finding temporary housing, officials said.
