Big Prize-Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Bridgeport

A Bridgeport resident is also the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — An unnamed Bridgeport resident is $25,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket that was purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Monday, the person claimed a winning 100X 2nd Edition ticket that was bought at La Placita Latina Meat & Deli on Main Street.

The Connecticut Lottery no longer publishes winners’ names without their written consent, in accordance with Sec. 3(d) of Public Act 25-112, according to officials.

The game, which costs $10 per ticket, began in August, and as of Tuesday, two grand prizes of $200,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 2 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.55.
