Bridgeport Fire Engine Crashes While En Route To Emergency: FD

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport fire engine was involved in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon while en route to an emergency call at Santa Fuel, according to authorities.

The crash occurred at the corner of Myrtle and South avenues, and the driver of the vehicle was taken to an area hospital for evaluation following the incident.

No firefighters were injuries in the crash, which is under investigation by the Bridgeport Police Department.
