Bridgeport Man Accused Of Sexual Assault In Ohio: CT State Police

Authorities took the suspect into custody last week.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 35-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge, after Connecticut State Police said the man was wanted in Ohio in connection with a sexual assault case.

Jhonny Sajamarca was taken into custody on Thursday at the Adult Probation Office in Bridgeport.

Connecticut State Police determined that an extraditable warrant had been issued for Sajamarca's arrest by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office in Ohio, related to charges of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Ohio authorities confirmed to state police that they would seek extradition for Sajamarca.

Sajamarca was held in lieu of bail of $500,000, and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court at a later date.
