Bridgeport Man Charged With Sexual Assault Following Investigation By Norwalk Police: PD
A Bridgeport man was charged with sexual assault following an investigation by Norwalk police, according to the department.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with sexual assault following an investigation by Norwalk police, according to the Norwalk Police Department.
In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said the department began investigating a report of a sexual assault involving a woman on June 30.
According to Podgorski, police determined after further investigation that Dashon Robinson, 34, of Bridgeport, sexually assaulted the woman while she was at her home.

Detectives applied for and were granted an arrest warrant for Robinson following the investigation, according to Podgorski.
On Wednesday, members of the U.S. Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force, the Bridgeport Regional Task Force, the Norwalk Police Department Special Services Division and the Norwalk Police Detective Bureau located and arrested Robinson at a Bridgeport home, Podgorski said.

Robinson was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault. His bond was set at $50,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, according to Podgorski.
A person who was with Robinson during his arrest and was found to be in illegal possession of a firearm was also arrested, according to Podgorski. He was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm without a permit and illegal transfer of a firearm.
