Bridgeport One, Community First Day: A Powerful Launch Rooted in Resources, Health and Hope
Health Leaders share their vision and kick off a community-driven movement for wellness and connection in Bridgeport.
After months of workshops, learning, and growing together, the first cohort of Bridgeport CARE Health Leaders came together to mark a major milestone: the launch of Bridgeport One, Community First Day.
Since January, 15 dedicated and inspiring Health Leaders have been meeting once or twice a month, deepening their understanding of public health, trauma-informed care, systems change, and community leadership. Their commitment to learning has culminated in this powerful community event — a joyful and heartfelt celebration of connection, growth, and purpose.
The day was filled with meaningful moments: group photos, dancing, laughter, and rich conversations about the resources, challenges, and hopes that shape life in Bridgeport. Each Health Leader shared insights from their personal journey and previewed the projects they’ve developed to meet pressing needs in their neighborhoods.

"Building Our Strength to Better Our Mental Health" Saturday, August 2 | 9–10:30 AM - A gathering focused on strengthening our mental health through community, conversation, and care.
