Bridgeport's Vacant Harding High School Could Become New School

A deal between the city and Bridgeport Hospital to sell the property has reportedly been called off.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The former Harding High School in Bridgeport, which has sat vacant since 2018, could become a new school for pre-K through 8th grade students, the Connecticut Post reported.

A deal for the city to sell the school for $3 million to Bridgeport Hospital has reportedly been called off, in part due to the district considering closing some schools.

If the district follows through with placing a new school at the 8-acre Harding site, it would house about 750 students.
