Caring People Donates Coats To Bridgeport Rescue Mission
The nonmedical home care company and other organizations collected 395 coats for Fairfield County charities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Caring People, in partnership with 10 local assisted living communities throughout Fairfield County, has successfully conducted a heartwarming Coat Drive, collecting a total of 395 coats to benefit individuals and families in need this winter.
The generous donations, which included not only coats but also winter accessories such as scarves, gloves, and hand-knitted hats made by some of the residents, were distributed to two local organizations dedicated to helping those less fortunate: Person-to-Person in Darien, CT, and the Bridgeport Rescue Mission in Bridgeport, CT.

“We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from our assisted living communities and their residents,” said a spokesperson from Caring People. “The kindness and compassion shown through this coat drive will directly impact families and individuals who need it most during the colder months. It’s heartwarming to see the residents of these communities take part in such a meaningful cause.”
The collection efforts brought together individuals of all ages, fostering a sense of unity and community spirit. The hand-knitted hats, lovingly crafted by some of the residents, added a personal and thoughtful touch to the donations.

Person-to-Person and Bridgeport Rescue Mission will ensure that the coats and accessories reach those who are struggling with the winter cold, helping to keep them warm and safe during this season.
