Cast Announced for "We Will Rock You" at Downtown Cabaret Theatre

Bridgeport, CT - The Downtown Cabaret Theatre, led by Executive Producer Hugh Hallinan, is thrilled to announce the final show of its 2023-2024 season, We Will Rock You! The show will run Fridays 7:30pm, Saturdays 3pm and 7pm and Sundays 3pm from May 31st, 2024 to June 30th, 2024.

Based on the music of Queen, We Will Rock You is set 300 years in the future in a globally corporate world without musical instruments. Planet Earth, now renamed Planet Mall, is controlled by the all powerful Globalsoft company and its boss, the Killer Queen, who has banned all non-computer generated music. A handful of rock rebels, the Bohemians, fight for freedom, individuality and the rebirth of the age of rock. Two young outsiders, Scaramouche and Galileo, cannot come to terms with the bleak conformist reality. They join the Bohemians and embark on the search to find the unlimited power of freedom, love and rock! We Will Rock You will be led by a fabulous creative team with Director Andrea Pane, Assistant Director Carly Jurman Musical Director Mark Ceppetelli, & Choreographer Olivia Rivera.

Enjoy the songs of Queen with a book by Ben Elton. Elton fashioned this hilariously over-the-top futurist comedy around more than 24 of Queen’s biggest hit songs including We Are The Champions, Radio Ga Ga, I Want To Break Free, Somebody To Love, Killer Queen, Don’t Stop Me Now, Under Pressure, Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites The Dust and of course, We Will Rock You. “Anyway the wind blows…”

The cast includes an impressive line-up of talented performers, some veterans of the DCT stage and some newcomers, including Chris Balestriere as Galileo, Corinne Marshall as Scaramouche, Ashley McLeod as Killer Queen, JoJo DeVellis as Khashoggi, Anthony Laszlo as Brit, MayTae Harge as Oz, and Thomas Sullivan as Buddy. The production also includes an impressive ensemble cast, each member bringing their unique talents and energy to the stage.
