Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash Investigated In Bridgeport

The crash occurred Sunday night, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — An 81-year-old Bridgeport pedestrian was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Park and Maplewood avenues in Bridgeport, according to authorities.

Angela Pagan was struck by a vehicle at about 9:30 p.m. Callers reported to Bridgeport police that she was lying on the ground with serious injuries when the vehicle that struck her fled.

Pagan was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries about an hour later, according to Bridgeport Police Sgt. Darryl Wilson.

"The Bridgeport Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Angela Pagan," Wilson said in a statement.
