Former Bridgeport Official Accused Of Contacting Witnesses In Illegal Ballot Case: Report

The former city official is already facing multiple charges in the Bridgeport absentee ballot scandal.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Wanda Geter-Pataky, a 69-year-old former Bridgeport official embroiled in the absentee ballot scandal, has been arrested on a new charge in connection with the case, the Connecticut Post reported.

Police recently arrested Geter-Pataky on a warrant charging her with first-degree violation of conditions of release, after police said she illegally contacted witnesses in the absentee ballot case.

Geter-Pataky is already facing multiple felony charges in the case, and the new charge is also a felony.

She was released after posting bond on bail of $75,000, and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Sept. 9.
